1. Ikechukwu Onunaku: From Rapper to Screen Bad Boy
Ikechukwu first rose to fame in the mid-2000s with hit songs like “My Name Is Ikechukwu” and “Wind Am Well”. Known for his gritty bars and strong stage presence, he brought that same energy into acting.
He made a strong impression in The Wedding Party (2016) and The Wedding Party 2 (2017). Later, he took on more complex roles in The little Black Book (2021) and Men, Money And Marriage. (2019). Ikechukwu’s transition has been seamless.
2. Banky W: The Gentleman of Both Worlds
Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, is a singer, songwriter, and record label executive. His breakout musical success came with “Ebute Metta”, followed by hits like “Strong Ting” and “Yes/No”.
Banky W took on acting with The Wedding Party series, playing the charming Dozie. He also appeared in Up North (2018) and Sugar Rush (2019). His on-screen charisma matches his musical charm.
3. Efa Iwara: Quietly Owning the Screen
Efa Iwara began his music career as part of the group X-Factor, later going solo with songs like “Fall in Love”. While his music was soulful, it was acting that brought him major attention.
His breakout role came in Ajoche (2018), followed by powerful performances in The Men’s Club, This Lady Called Life (2020), and The Black Book (2023). He brings depth and nuance to every role.
4. Ric Hassani: The Lover Boy Trying Something New
Ric Hassani is best known for his heartfelt music, especially tracks like “Gentleman” and “Thunder Fire You”. His smooth vocals and refined image made him a favorite among love song enthusiasts.

Toni Tones started out as a photographer, then ventured into music, dropping tracks like “I Know What You Like”. But her greatest success has come as an actress.
She wowed audiences in King of Boys (2018) as the younger version of Eniola Salami, a role that earned critical acclaim. She’s also featured in Smart Money Woman, Before the Vows, and Love Is War. Toni delivers fire on screen.
7. Eso Dike: Making Waves Quietly But Surely
Eso Dike first made waves with his music under the stage name Dike Chukwumerije, blending poetry and music. He later rebranded and shifted more towards acting and media hosting.
He’s played prominent roles in Ricordi, The Smart Money Woman, Our Best Friends Wedding, and Flawsome. With every role, Eso proves he’s not just a pretty face. He’s deeply talented and constantly evolving.
8. Ayoola Ayolola: A Star Born Twice
Ayoola won the 2012 edition of MTN Project Fame, showcasing incredible vocal talent. However, it was acting that brought him massive fame.
He stole hearts in Skinny Girl in Transit (2015–2020) and cemented his status in The Men’s Club, The Olive, and If I Am President. Ayoola has become one of Nollywood’s most dependable faces.
9. Falz: The Bop Daddy Who Can Act
Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, burst onto the music scene with humorous yet conscious rap tracks like “Soft Work”, “This Is Nigeria”, and “Bahd Baddo Baddest”. He brought something different: comedy, wit, and sharp lyrics.
Falz quickly transitioned into acting with the series Jenifa’s Diary, where he played the hilarious Segun. He later took on more serious roles in Chief Daddy (2018), Quam’s Money (2020), 10 Days in Sun City, and Brotherhood (2022). His role in Chief Daddy earned him the AMVCA for Best Supporting Actor.
